I met Bartek at CIC in Warsaw during our weekly yoga session, which I lead there. After one of our final relaxations, he asked me aside, saying he wanted to show me something. Taking me by the hand, without revealing anything more, he led me to… a recording room, where a microphone was already set up and pleasant warm light awaited. “Could you do it again, please?” he asked with a soft smile, implying guiding the relaxation session. Given such prepared situation (and of course Bartek himself!), I couldn’t refuse! Thank you Bartek for the initiative, organization and technical arrangements! The effect of these efforts goes to you for use at any time you need.
In Bartek’s words: “A few years ago I suddenly realized with surprise that I was seeking adventures and experiences so intensely that when this overlapped with my work, intense life, sports and interests, there was basically no room left for… well, for me. That’s when I discovered meditation, but it was also when I learned that sometimes all it takes is a moment for yourself during the day to pull yourself together and patch up. A moment anywhere. Even on the tram, at work, at home after work, in the morning before leaving home.
I asked Ola, my yoga teacher, to make a 10-minute relaxation session especially for you. Treat this episode as a tool you can reach for when you need a moment to catch your breath. Close your eyes, lie down or sit if you prefer, and drift away for a moment. Then you can go back to seeking adventures! Do it seven times over the next few days and let me know if you notice any difference. From my experience, it’s easiest in the morning, right after waking up, but find your own moment. Seven times, okay?”
